Cooper River Bridge Run
This weekend was the famous Cooper River Bridge Run in Charleston . Three of my good friends and I got up bright and early on a Saturday morning and decided to run 6.2 miles, up and over the Cooper River Bridge, with 40,000 of our closest friends... At the start, it was 55 degrees, windy and dreary and we were all being herded like cattle behind the start line wondering why the heck we paid to do this. However, once you get going and get to the top of the bridge, it is totally worth it. I ran the entire race with a really great friend from high school- Bess Tunstall- and we caught up on each others lives from relationships, to jobs, to family... Running the race with Bess, Sarah, Erin and Chris was so much fun and meant so much to me. As you know, I am BIG believer in the power of positive thinking- and looking back on the past couple of months, I am so thankful for such great friends. I know that I never would have done this race with such awesome people had life gone the way I had it "planned." I am so proud of my friends-Bess and Sarah had never run that far and ran the entire race without stopping! Of course Erin and Chris are rockstars and finished in no time... I mean they were right behind the Kenyans :)

Running this race has gotten me motivated to run a half mararthon this year. We all know that I keep myself too busy so I have to pick between training for a half marathon and getting back into tennis... thoughts?
Great job girl! So glad you started a blog! You're going to love it!
